Unity Friends with Flair Friday!!!!

Hooray!! It's that time again!! I am really trying to get more creative. That was my crafty resolution, to get more creative and try new techniques.  I decided that I would try to do an easel card for my post today. I love the technique, it's fairly easy and really cool.  So I'm pretty happy with myself for trying it out.  A lot of the techniques I see are fabulous, but quite honestly I am really intimidated by them :(  I also tried doing the rolled paper flowers, those didn't work out too well :( So if any of you have any tips or tricks on how to do those please let me know would really appreciate it.

Okay, on with the show. lol  I don't know about all of you, but I just love going through and looking at all the Fabulous projects. I love getting inspiration from them.  It's a good motivator for me. So make sure you start at the Unity Blog (or if you get lost along the way you can head back over there to get back on track).

If you're not familiar with the Kit of the Month, you should definitely check it out. I am a fairly new KOM member, but I love getting the kit in the mail every month. It's like Christmas every month. Not only do you get fabulous stamps, but you get lots of AMAZING perks. You see the picture of the kit, but trust me the pictures do not do the stamps justice. They're even more amazing in person. So be sure you head over to Unity's site to check out all the details.

So here's my easel card!

Looking at it set up

Just a different angle so you could see the rhinestones :)

Supplies Used
*Moments to Remember* Echo Park Co-Brand Stamps
Echo Park-Life Is Good Paper
Unknown Brown Cardstock
Mini Calendar from local LSS
Misc. Rhinestones
Glimmer Mist-Bazzill Navajo
Stampendous-Marcasite Embossing Powder
ColorBox Ink-Teal
Helmar Zapdots
Glue Glider Pro

This was so fun to make. I love how I can fold it down to send it to a friend. I will for sure be making more easel cards in the near future. I found a fabulous tutorial over at splitcoast stampers if you're interested click the link and it will take you to it. They're really easy and super fun to make.

Guess what I have this week...... I have the blinkie :)

Unity Flair!

So be sure to leave a comment and I will draw a winner and post it on Saturday morning!  The winner will get 25 Unity stamps!! Never can have too many Unity stamps!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a Fabulous weekend!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve! I'm looking forward to what's to come in 2011.

Even after staying up past midnight I was up bright and early, got a roast in the crockpot for dinner and then heading to my craft room to play for a bit. Here's what I came up with.

Supplies Used

K & Company-Ancestry Paper Pad
Paper Studio Cardstock
Unknown Ribbon/Pearls
Unknown Rhinestones
Bic Mark It Markers
Alcohol Inks-Stream & Gold Mixative
Perfect Pearls
Gold Colorbox Ink
